South Asia, home to India and Bangladesh, has some of the highest concentrations of unengaged Muslim people groups in the world. Millions of Muslim men and women have no known believers and no one trying to reach them with the hope of the Gospel.
Tough living conditions await those who move to this hot and humid region. Cities are congested and polluted, infrastructure can be weak and disorganized, and ethnic caste systems feel oppressive. These realities can leave us feeling hopeless for this region.
The challenges of reaching South Asia’s Muslims are great. Urbanization in India and Bangladesh has splintered people groups and scattered them across multiple cities, towns, and villages. Reaching the unengaged requires new approaches and more teams that will move into the strategic cities.
Already, God is at work in South Asia. New movements to Christ among Muslims are growing. And as more Christ followers answer the call to go, we find incredible reason for hope in the region!
South Asia isn’t just a place to venture into the unknown. It’s a place to go and make Him known. Join us in reaching the unengaged Muslim people groups of South Asia.
