Many Frontiers teams live in difficult places marked by poverty, political instability, conflict, and natural disasters. When tragedy strikes, our workers find ways to meet practical needs and point people to the hope of Jesus Christ.
Recently, a Frontiers team in the Middle East sought to bless refugee families that had just arrived in their town.
Read on to discover how God used a special gift from supporters to bless these refugees and open doors for sharing the Gospel.
Last month, some of our supporters took up a collection for us and sent it to our account with Frontiers. Our team decided to use the money to put together food baskets and care packages for a few refugee families.
As we delivered the packages, we shared that they were from followers of Jesus who want them to know that God loves them and knows their needs. The families were all very touched by the gifts. We had several opportunities to share Scripture, tell Gospel stories, and pray for people. We even met a woman who had dreamed of Jesus many years ago and who is eager to learn more.
In one family, we discovered that the husband suffers from a rare illness that is turning him blind. The wife, Hasna, takes care of their four children and also works to provide for the family. They are really struggling to make ends meet. But after receiving the package, Hasna was so thankful that she couldn’t sleep that night. She just lay awake thanking God for providing for her family.
Pray for more open doors to share the Good News with these families, and ask God to lead us to more Muslims who are ready to embrace Jesus Christ.
Your partnership can help field workers meet Muslims who are open to the Gospel.
