I love what I see in our workers on the field and in the men and women we are training and sending. I’ve observed in their lives the restlessness expressed in Romans 15:20. Along with Paul, Frontiers workers are saying, “I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else’s foundation.”
In Frontiers, we are asking, “Where is the Good News not being proclaimed? Where are the people groups who have no witness? What will it take to get there and bear fruit that lasts? Who will go to be a light in dark places?”
We believe that Jesus’ command to go to the ends of the earth to make disciples still applies. We have over three decades of experience to share with those who join us in joyful obedience to His great call.
Nearly every day, I hear news of Muslims who are committing their lives to Christ. It is truly remarkable! Even more exciting is the increasing number of multiplying bodies of new believers and even movements of entire groups of Muslims to Christ. All of this is beyond what I dared to imagine when I left home many years ago to live and work among several unreached Muslim people groups.
Now called to a new role as US Director, I am more eager than ever to see teams of enthusiastic disciple-makers step out in faith to join Jesus in what He is doing in the Muslim world. Based on what I’ve seen and heard, I know He will not disappoint us.
Despite the bad news we read every day, this new season gives many reasons for hope in Christ. May all who are called this year go out with confidence, bringing all glory and honor to the one true King.
